At the Vanu Sovreignty "Boot Camp" facility at VS Sanctuary, interfaces like
these are used to help recruits familiarise themselves with continents, their terrain, facilities
and often a few locations of tactical note such as bridges, river crossings, covered AMS deploy-points
and such.
The demo above gives a brief look at the Esamir Familiarisation Program.
The program starts in Automated Tour mode but can be switched to manual by a rightclick
anywhere on the interface. Once in manual mode the following controls apply:
Click a named target to pull up a detail view.
Click the edges of the frame to scroll.
Roll the mousewheel to zoom in and out.
Rightclick anywhere to return to Automated Tour mode.
The simulation here is a Java Applet that will require you to have at least Java 1.4 capability in your browser
for full functionality. If you don't have it and you want it, download the latest JRE from java.com.
